Fat Transfer Cost
One of the most important factors in the decision making process as to whether or not you will undergo a fat transfer augmentation procedure is what the costs are that are associated with it. Unfortunately only an estimate can be given for the procedure because some people need more or less fat to be transferred in order to augment part of their body. Furthermore, the more that needs to be harvested and injected, the more the surgeon will want for his or her time. But to make it simpler an estimate per hour is able to be given.
In general, for a one hour fat transfer procedure the minimum cost is about $1,500 with the maximum being almost $6,000 for the procedure The more than needs to be transferred then the more time it will take to perform and the cost will go up accordingly. Also, the amount of available fat for harvesting will play an important role as well. On top of all of this you will still need to figure in the cost of the fat transfer use of the operating facility as well as any anesthetic that will be used when performing the fat transfer procedure.
The good news is that in many cases only a topical anesthetic will be used since the only bruising and swelling associated with a fat transfer procedure is not actually in the location that is being augmented but rather in the location from which the fat cells are being harvested for the procedure.
The procedure is generally performed on an outpatient basis which also means that the facility fee can be substantially lower than other cosmetic procedures for the simple fact that it can be performed in an outpatient clinic rather than in a full-blown hospital setting.
