Endoscopic Forehead Lift - Forehead Lift Before After Picture
Back in the olden days of cosmetic surgery, the surgeon would have to manually take care of the preparations for a surgery by making large enough incisions for him or her to place their fingers in as a means of performing the procedure. Larger incisions also means a greater chance of unsightly scarring as well as the use of the surgeon’s fingers also meant a longer recovery period. For a while time and money was spent to find a way to prevent this and thanks to advents in video technology, surgeons can now use an endoscope, which has a miniature video camera on its tip, to make all the necessary preparations for a forehead lift.
There preparations are done to make sure that all the underlying layers line up accordingly when the surgeon pulls the skin tight at the end of the procedure. If the underlying tissue masses like muscles and such are not lined up correctly you will end up with muscle bulges at a spot where there is a crease line on the skin. This is just bad surgery and no body wants to deal with it.
Furthermore, the endoscopic forehead lift is a faster procedure than if it is done manually which means the costs will most likely be lower. You can opt to go with a manual one if you feel like it, but you will have to deal with a longer recovery period from the stresses caused by the surgeon’s fingers working under the layer of skin.
Make sure when looking for a surgeon, that during the consultation you ask about the differences between the outcome of the standard and endoscopic forehead lift so that they can be explained better and which one will be best used in your particular case.
