A skin dermabrasion has become a very popular technique that many have sought as a means to restore their youthful glow. This procedure can either be accomplished by a professional in a clinic or you can even do it at home with the many do it yourself ski dermabrasion kits that are now available. Regardless of how you decide to undergo a skin dermabrasion, you are bound to come to the realization that beauty IS only skin deep. As we age the outer layer of skin becomes dead and as a result, the scars of our past get imprinted into these dead skin cells which in turn the next layer of skin cells to die simply copies them. It is a vicious cycle which no one really want but there is no way to stop it. But is there? The way to stop this vicious circle is to undergo a skin dermabrasion procedure which literally removes the entire outer layer of skin in the area which will be treated allowing for the younger still alive skin cells to determine their own fate.
The results are just amazing as these young skin cells are smooth and lack stretch marks or even acne scars as those scars where just an imprint from long gone dead skin cells. In the skin dermabrasion procedure, the physician uses a dermabrasion machine which features a vacuum/air pump, a hose and a wand. This vacuum/air pump unit will take the aluminum or zinc oxide crystals and spays them at the skin under high pressure while at the same time, it also vacuums up the used crystals along with the removed dead skin cells. The result is that your skin will be raw and be similar to a brush burn which was cause from falling off a bicycle.
The skin will be reddish in color and will also bee seeping a fluid that if left unchecked can cause a crusty layer on the skin. But these effects are normal and by the end of the first week the skin starts to return to a normal pigment and the fluid no longer exist. |
