Restylane injections are now all of the rage when it comes to a non invasive alternative to many facial cosmetic procedures. Restylane has proven itself worthy with over a million successful injections since it inception in 1996 in over 60 nations world wide. From lip augmentations to facial filling and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Although the Restylane injection is only temporary, it is far less expensive than a surgical procedure and no where near the amount of possible risks or complications.
One such alternative procedure that is now growing in popularity is the repair of deep eye sockets and bagginess under the eyes with a Restylane injection. The Restylane injection under eye is composed of hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance in everyone but unfortunately this acid fades away over time. The Restylane injection simply replaces this hyaluronic acid to help rejuvenate the skin and in the case of the area under the eyes, it can add some volume to the area as well. This added volume makes deep eye sockets seem to disappear and can even fix the bagginess under the eyes at the same time by simply filling up the space where our soft underlying tissue is supposed to be at.
Restylane is not perfect and due to it being only temporary, it is definitely no fountain of youth. If you were to sit back and compare restylane to its surgical sibling then you would see that even after many repeat visits the cost of the Restylane injections is far cheaper than that of a cosmetic surgery. Furthermore as the number of treatments progresses the amount of Restylane needed at each treatment also lowers thus making the injection cost less over time.
The only major side effect associated with the Restylane injections is some slight swelling around the injection point which lasts for no more than a couple days. The product has no animal components in it and therefore does not require the allergy tests that are required by products like Zyplast. It is important that every potential Restylane patient consults with their physician prior to undergoing the procedure to ensure that they have a good understanding of the procedure itself as well as the possibilities of side effects associated with the Restylane injections. |
