Restylane

Restylane is not only the first, but it is the only dermal filler that has been approved by the FDA and is composed of biodegradable hyaluronic acid. This acid is found naturally in all living organisms and is capable pf providing both volume as well as fullness to human skin. This product is a clear gel and is capable of fixing both wrinkles and folds through two different actions combined together. The Restylane gel is injected under the skin giving volume as well as lift in order to counteract wrinkles. This gel integrates itself into the underlying soft tissue of the skin as a means to attract natural moisture in order to maintain its volume. Unfortunately Restylane’s effects will gradually falter forcing the patient to return to the physician in order to undergo another injection.

Restylane is available in over 60 worldwide countries and has already been utilized in more than one million procedures to date. Originally only available in the United States, Restylane made its way to become a worldwide available product in 1996. Since then it has been subsequently approved in all the countries that have access to it. Not only can Restylane help with the wrinkles and folds but it is also used in lip augmentations as well.
