Liposelection

Most women are very critical and conscious of how they look. A little fat on the arms, or on the hips or on the waist makes them go into a flurry of tension and may make them try out various ways and means of removing it. In fact, there are hardly any women who are happy with their bodies and they would like to do body contouring and go in for plastic surgery. Fortunately science has advanced so much that it is now possible for any and every woman to reshape her body, as she wants. Plastic surgery can make wonders, make a long nose short, a flat chest can be given good shape, and extra fat can be drained out. Unwanted fat from the thighs, hips, knees, abdomen, back, arms, hands neck and even those love handles can easily be removed if one has the patience, the time and the money to do it.

Liposelection is the method which works wonders and is quite the latest in plastic surgery. Thousands of people go for it and are quite satisfied with the results. Laser LipoSelection and SmartLipo Laser Body Sculpting are techniques which satisfy most people. An estimated 325,000 Americans are undergoing this procedure every year and are the walking and talking examples of the wonders of modern science. One does not have to endure strict dieting or strenuous exercises to gain that slim and trim silhouette which every person would like to have.

Liposelection is an advanced method where ultrasound is used to differentiate body fat from other tissues like blood vessels, nerves and the like. It breaks up the fat, which gets liquefied and is easily removed by massage and suction. Liposuction used to be a tedious process lasting for a few hours and leaving the patient with lumpy tissues and empty pockets, which would take a few days to settle. During this period the patient would have pain and discomfort. But in liposelection, the procedure is fast and can be done on an outpatient basis. There is hardly any pain or discomfort and the recovery period is almost nil. The patient can walk out of the hospital, take some rest and then resume normal duties.

An incision is made at the area to be operated, saline with some chemicals is introduced which shrinks the blood vessels and the whole area becomes numb. Ultrasonic waves are emitted which break up the fat globules which can be then suctioned out. The remaining fatty material is absorbed by the body, which leaves the area smooth and normal looking without any ugly loose skin or pouches. Of course the patient and the surgeon should have a detailed discussion on the procedure before the patient undergoes it. He should know the limitations, the risks, and the possible complications, however small they may be.
