Facial Dermabrasion

The most common dermabrasion location is none other than the face. While the microdermabrasion technique can be performed on almost any section of skin on the body, many people only have their face dine since this is the most visible part of our skin. Furthermore since it is the most visible, years of torment, acne scarring sun damage and even natural aging can take a serious toll on the facial skin. The facial dermabrasion takes care of all of these issues. The procedure can remedy fine lines and wrinkles as well as enlarged pores and acne scarring. It is also great at taking care of discolorations in the skin’s pigment. Some times people just get a discoloration of the skin’s pigment on the face from any number of reasons but luckily the facial dermabrasion removes these visible yet dead skin cells from the outermost layer of the epidermis and allows for the underlying layers of skin to rejuvenate the look of the patient while at the same time re-pigmenting the skin giving it a more even tone.

As far as the fine line and wrinkles go, some people ask why they cannot just have a face lift procedure done. Well the answer is really simple as the facelift only takes care of loose sagging skin that has folded over. While these folds may appear to be wrinkles in actuality they are not, they are just sections of loose skin drooping over the connective tissue that secures the skin to the muscles. The face lift does not fix fine lines and wrinkle and as a matter of fact, many cosmetic surgeons if they feel that you need one, will suggest that you undergo a facial dermabrasion during the face lift procedure for the best possible results.

That’s probably one of the best parts about the facial dermabrasion is that it can be performed as a stand alone procedure or in combination with a cosmetic surgery. This procedure in itself will give your face a rejuvenated more youthful appearance to it that is said to be glowing. It is glowing for a good reason too since all of the dead skin cells have been removed from the outer layer of the epidermis allowing for the younger still alive skin cells to show through.
