Diamond Microdermabrasion

When talking about the differences between the standard microdermabrasion with the use of oxide crystals and that of the diamond microdermabrasion technique, you have to imagine them as they truly are. For starters a crystal technique for the microdermabrasion uses either zinc oxide or aluminum oxide for the crystals. These are the same elements found in most ordinary sand papers. When you go to a home store and you look at sandpaper you will see zinc and aluminum oxide sandpapers, these are for either steel or wood. So when you picture the standard microdermabrasion technique you have to picture the professional as sitting there holding a sandblaster which is used to clean steel. But now with the diamond technique, imagine a small dremel tool with a diamond tipped bit on the end, this is what jewelers use to work on expensive rings and watches. So imagine the microdermabrasion technician as a jeweler when it comes to the diamond microdermabrasion technique. While both techniques will suck the dead skin cells off as they go, would you rather have you face sand blasted or finely worked on with a jeweler’s drill.

That is basically the simplest comparison that can be made between the two microdermabrasion techniques. In reality, the standard for has also been recorded as being more painful than that of the diamond technique and no figure. While the most commonly available form of the microdermabrasion still sits as the standard, this is mainly because of the experience that the technician needs. Think of it this way, you neighbor can buy a sand blaster to do work on his car without having to worry too much, but the question is as to whether you would trust that same person with a $35,000 ring. Chances are that you will not and the same goes with the standard versus the diamond microdermabrasion techniques. The technician just plainly needs better training to do the later.

Now if there is a local place offering the diamond microdermabrasion technique then you are in luck and I would take it any day over having to undergo a sandblasting of the face.
