Dermabrasion Machine

When it comes to a dermabrasion procedure many people want to know a little about the machines that are available since the machine type may have a lot to do with your final decision on the clinic for which the procedure will be performed in. These are not the home dermabrasion kits, but rather the sophisticated machines that you will find in a spa or clinic that requires anesthesia in order to perform.

Profession dermabrasion machines basically have 4 components that are similar, these four components include the vacuum and air pump unit which spays the crystals and sucks the dead skin cells away as they are removed, a tube which connects the wand tip to the vacuum, the wand tip and the crystals that will be used in the procedure.

For starters, the vacuum and air pump unit will take the crystals and spray them through the tube then through the wand tip where the crystals will blast away the old dead skin cells. At the same time that the system is shooting the crystals out it will also be sucking up the old dead skin cells so they can be properly disposed of.

Next you have the tube, which in reality are actually 3 tubes in 1. The first tube delivers the crystals under high pressure while the second sucks the dead skin cells and used crystals away. In the third tube, which of course some machines will not have may be some electrical components like power for high intensity lights located on the wand to help with the complete removal of the old skin cells.

You then have the wand which can be made of either glass or stainless steel. The tip of which is usually always made of glass to allow the person performing the dermabrasion to see where they are working at. The rest of the wand is generally a separating nozzle and valves to allow the pressures to stay equal and a lot of other technical stuff.

The machine itself makes sure that the used crystals are kept separate from those that are new so as to prevent any cross contamination between them. Make sure that you can inspect the crystals beforehand to ensure that the crystals are now. The best bet is that if the physician is seen opening a hermetically sealed bag then the crystals are good.
