Cost of Arm Lift

When exercise can no longer tone our skin because it has already lost its elasticity, the only solution for the sagging arm area is brachioplasty or more popularly known as the arm lift. It is a surgical procedure that redefines the under portion of the upper arm, particularly from the underarm area down to the elbow part. By surgically reducing the excess skin and fat between the underarm and the elbow and reshaping your arm for smoother skin and smoother contour, your upper arms becomes more toned and proportionate in appearance. This is the main purpose of an arm lift or brachioplasty. Probably, the only downside of this kind of cosmetic procedure is the scar left on the inside of your upper arm.

So how much does the arm lift procedure cost? To answer this question, we should take into consideration all the elements included in the procedure. It is important for us to realize that all of the elements in the procedure will cost us money. When you ask your plastic surgeon the cost of an arm lift procedure, he may only tell you his fee for the procedure, all the other fees are still excluded in the amount he mentioned. The amount however, is still dependent on the region or place of the plastic surgeon that will perform your operation. Say for example you live in Hollywood. The plastic surgeon’s fee there is very high as compared to another plastic surgeon’s fee staying in Colorado.

The surgical facility’s cost or the operating room cost is another element you have to consider when determining the total price for your arm lift procedure. The list of elements doesn’t stop there. Other fees to consider include the anesthesiologist’s fee and the cost of the anesthesia used in the operation. Prescription medicines like antibiotics and pain relievers are also part of the additional cost to consider. A brachioplasty procedure, just like any other surgical operation, needs some laboratory testing on your part to determine whether you’re qualified and fit for it. Of course, different laboratory tests come with various fees as well.

In an average totaling of the over all cost for an arm lift procedure would be $5,500. The procedure may range from a minimum of $3,000 up to a maximum of $8,000.

Your health insurance won’t cover any of the cost if you’re undergoing the arm lift procedure for cosmetic reasons. They may only cover some or all of the costs if you’re having arm lift surgery due to illness or accident. If you believe that the total cost of the arm lift procedure is too much for you to shell out all at once, you can opt to apply for patient financing. This will give you the benefit of having the procedure by paying it in monthly installment plans.
