Buttock Reduction

If you are really worried bout having fat buttocks, then you can go in for in fat reduction surgery or liposuction of the fat. Using the tumescent liposuction procedure, the shape and the fat of the big buttocks can be greatly reduced. Surgeons use micro cannula which has fewer diameters than the pasta strand. Fat is sucked out through the cannula. If a patient has a sagging bottom, then you can have a buttock lift in addition to the surgery.

You can certainly get a buttock just like Shakira’s or J Lo. A good rounded bun helps you look great and even the clothes fit better. It’s no longer a source of embarrassment but can motivate your confidence and help lift your sagging spirits. The goal of the operation is to have an evenly shaped bun which has a pleasing look. If too much fat is sucked out, then the buttocks lose their symmetry. The liposuction procedure is done through very small holes known as adits which are hardly visible after weeks of the operation. No long incisions are made in the buttock.

The procedure is done under local anesthesia and not general. This helps the recovery procedure of the patients and removes any unwanted risk of general anesthesia. Most surgeons don’t remove more than 40% of the fat, since excess removal can look very deficient and bad. There is reduction of weight from the buttocks. Some patients also have a genetically defined sacral fat pad that look astatically very correct. This can’t be created by the surgeon.

The operation is not an alternative for weight reduction; rather it’s for providing youthful look to the body. It provides a great contour and tone to the buttock. When the patient decides to undergo the operation, then the consulting surgeon will ask for the complete medical history of the patient. Medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, hypertension etc should be communicated as should the history of smoking be communicated. The patient should also communicate any known allergies to medication and food. The current weight and height of the patient should also be recorded. The doctor will show the patient where the incision will be made.

Exercises are recommended after 2 weeks on a progressive level. Patients can sit on the very first day after the operation, but can’t do so for prolonged periods of time. Doctors will advise the patients on when they can sit and exercise. Like most operations it’s important to choose surgeons who are experienced in the buttock enhancement operation.
