Buttock Augmentation

Buttock augmentation can be done through buttock implants and through fat grafting. Many patients prefer the fat grafting technique. This allows the surgeons to graft the fat exactly where it’s required. The fat can be grafted to the places that are more deficient and need it more.

Buttock implants have some inherent risks attached to them. The risks are when the buttock implants are inserted in the buttock, and the biggest risk is that of bacterial infection, since they can carry germs. Sometimes the implants can also shift and this gives a non symmetrical look to the buttocks. The surgeon may have to remove the implants and reposition them again. Sometimes there can be excessive bleeding or formation of clot, which would also need to be removed.

Another common worry is that there might be capsular contracture at the site of buttock implant. This means the connecting scar that surrounds the implant will tighten and the buttocks will get very hard. In this case scenario the tissue which has become hardened would need to be removed. Many cases if there is severe hardening or the patient becomes extremely uncomfortable, then the implant would need to be removed completely. The healing process can take some considerable amount of time.

The buttocks feel natural after the fat injections. After the fat has been injected and the effects of the graft procedure are over, the buttocks feel natural since the other tissues absorb the fat and make new cells in the patient’s body. In time, the areas can’t be distinguished from the earlier shape that they were in. special garments which are known as compression garments may need to be worn as advised by the surgeon. Many surgeons advise massages and ultrasound sessions to lessen the discomfort and advance the healing and the recovery process.

Exercises are recommended after 2 weeks on a progressive level. Patients can sit on the very first day after the operation, but can’t do so for prolonged periods of time. Doctors will advise the patients on when they can sit and exercise. Like most operations it’s important to choose surgeons who are experienced in the buttock augmentation operation.

Butt augmentation costs can be quite expensive. They can range from $9000- $10,000 depending on the surgeon and the location where the surgery has to be performed. This procedure isn’t for the rich and the famous only. There are many financing options that are available for payment. Of course you can take secured or unsecured loans to make a payment.
