During the first couple of weeks you will be limited to liquid and pureed foods. You will also be scheduled to return to the doctor for a series of check-ups to make sure that you are staying healthy. Within time you will be able to upgrade to baby foods as a suggestion since they will usually contain all the life essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals. As time goes on the frequency of your check-up will start to become further apart making it that much harder to maintain to your goals but as long as you are fully committed and giving it 100% then this should not be as much of an issue. It is also in this time period that you may be able to join various support groups that you have found or even were referred to by your surgeon. These support group meetings are very important and can mean the difference of a successful weight loss.
There will be certain foods you will never be able to eat again as they may cause a complication associated with the Lap-Band procedure. Furthermore you will notice an increase in your daily energy even though you will be spending a lot of your extra time devoted to an exercise routine. |
